This site is about Alice Pleasance Liddell (1852-1934), later married as Alice Hargreaves. Alice was one of the daughters of the then Dean of Christchurch College Oxford. At the college she met Charles Dodgson (the real name of Lewis Carroll). He told to her and her sisters the first version of the story of Alice in Wonderland. Later she met and married Reginald Hargreaves and came to live in the Hargeaves Family home of Cuffnells in Lyndhurst.
